How Bukva handles your data.

This policy explains what data Bukva processes when you use the iOS app and this website. The controller is listed in our Impressum. Contact: support@getbukva.com.
Learning progress and settings. Answers, streaks, saved words, level and interface language are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not sent to us.
Speech practice. If you allow microphone and speech recognition access, your speech is processed on your device. The audio is not sent to our servers.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
Error reports. If you use the report function, the content you submit (the exercise or sentence concerned and your message) is sent to our database hosted by Supabase so we can review it. Do not include personal information in reports. [CHECK: exact fields sent with a report]
Pro purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your purchase is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase information. For details, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit it, GitHub may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer you. We delete this correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply.
If you sign up for early access through the form on this website, the form provider Tally.so processes the email address you enter. We use it only to send you the TestFlight invitation. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Where GDPR applies, we process data to provide the app and the requested service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and working app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or on your consent where you ask for it (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict processing of your personal data, and to data portability and objection. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise your rights, email support@getbukva.com.
Bukva is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
